Stores set different prices between their online and brick & mortar stores all the time. What is little-known is that they even offer different list and sale prices based upon different markets. Sometimes this can be a substantial difference. Short of travelling great distances to obtain a much lower price, it would seem that there is nothing we can do to perform an end run around these policies. Today, I inadvertently discovered one option.
As I’ve seen used on several wood working channels, I decided to look into a cyclone type set-up shop vac accessory for future bulky, messy debris clean-ups. While on one website, there was a pop up for the Dustopper sold at the Home Depot.

As you can see, the list price is $51.97. However, the link that was posted on the wood working site said $39.97. When I clicked the link, it took me to the HD app on my phone and made the price $51.97. That left me curious. I have family in various parts of the country so I tried the zip code for Lancaster, PA.

Okay, that’s only $1 but how much variation is there out there? My first though was the LV area where the Bear runs price checks for Brickseek.

Low and behold, its $39.97. So, I used the ship to home option, used my Pay Pal account to handle it and have it on its way to me in zip code 11783 for $39.97. BTW, here’s another price point:

Using Ship to Home via a Las Vegas store got me the better price and free delivery with the proper local sales tax calculated in.
