So, I'm not a fanboy of Ryobi by any stretch of the imagination, but I do have a good number of Ryobi Cordless power tools. The quality is acceptable, I have access to pro grade tools at work if I ever need something high quality, and Ryobi tools fit my needs for 95% of the things I do at home. For the most part, Ryobi (or Home Depot Service) has stood behind the tools I've had. I recently burned up the motor on my 5-1/2" circular saw that was 4 years old, but I replaced it with a 7-1/4" brushless model from Ebay. That was a quality purchase. Before I did that I was considering making the jump to Rigid because of their warranty and the price being reasonable. The only thing that kept me from doing it was my favorite Ryobi tool; their 18V One+ Trimmer/Edger combo. I have a rental house on a corner lot and that means it has a lot of sidewalk to edge. With a decent battery, the edger is able to easily complete the job. It's also easy to work with, and can handle most around the house stuff. That's a big reason I'm sticking with Ryobi for now. One batter platform makes it really nice. Does Rigid offer any Outdoor Power Tools? I've never seen anything more than a jobsite blower. I know that Milwaukee has some, so it would make since that Rigid had some. Any insight would be appreciated.
