I have a very small work shop, and I need a small air compressor. I need it to run a brad nailer and maybe inflate motorcycle tires.

I am looking at the Fortress 1 and 2 gallon. Can somebody tell me which one would work best for my purposes?

    Thanks, Brian

If you are just going to shoot brad nails and inflate motorcycle tires the 1 gallon would probably work ok. Now if you plan on using the brad nailer a lot and maybe getting a finish nailer down the line, or a framing nailer, I'd definitely step up to the 2 gallon, as it is capable of powering a finish nailer without any issue and can handle a framing nailer.

Thanks Jeremy! I will probably go with the 2 ga.. Is it much larger than the 1 gal? That is my only concern--space.

@brian.everett.elliott it is bigger than the 1 gallon, but is still a pretty compact unit, they should have them side by side at the store to compare. You can also check out pictures and videos to get a sense of the size difference. If I owned either of them I'd go measure them for you but I have a chargeair down in my garage that I got used.
