Ok since there is little information on it I will put in some. The pump on my 60 gallon compressor died from a rod nut that backed off.
Bought the 3hp pump and it does fit but the air outlet is on the opposite side from the usual compressors. It has a 3/4 pipe outlet. I was going to buy the 5hp pump but they were out.
The install isn't the prettiest as I made it work with what I had on hand. You will need to drill new holes in the base as they are close but not quite the same.
It's been run pretty hard for about three months now and it still runs great. It actually flows more air than the old pump did. Old pump was not worn just rod knocking. I really wanted to put the 5hp pump on it and slow it down. It's better to put a bigger pump on and slow it down as you increase the life of the pump and it's much quieter. The motor is just over 3hp, ignore the marketing 6.5hp number.
If anyone is interested in the pump and has a question feel free to ask.
