Harbor Freight's clearaclearance pricing has to be one of the most frustrating things about the company. Maybe it's the new scheme that's taken control away from the managers and given it to a bizzare computer algorithm, but they are, in some ways, really making themselves look foolish.
Case study #1
Forgiving the fact that this particular tool is on sale for $5 right now and that this particular sample stretches the term "open box" pretty much beyond meaningfulness, I'd like to point out the tag proudly touts "save 14%"...on a tool set that is 33% GONE!
Case study #2
One local store has a Chicago Electric 4x24" belt sander on the clearance rack for $74.97. The last price listed for it on hfqpdb.com was $72.99 at the end of 2018 and an expired ITC coupon for $59.99!
I know there are more problems than these, but I stopped in to check out the parking lot sale. Instead of deals, I found anti-deals!
